About Mustang Ridge
A city of 944 (2020 census) on U.S. Highway 183 about 15 miles south of downtown Austin, straddling Travis, Caldwell, and Bastrop counties. Named for a small line of hills, Mustang Ridge was a stagecoach way station on the Gonzales-to-Austin route and cattle-trail watering hole, incorporated in 1985, and remains a rural crossroads city convenient to the airport and Circuit of the Americas.
