About Oracle
Oracle is a mountain-valley community in Pinal County at about 4,500 feet elevation in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains, north of Tucson. With roughly 3,000–3,600 residents, it grew as a ranching and mining town and is now a quiet arts and retiree community known for its cool summer temperatures, the 1901 Oracle Union Church (shown in the Commons photo below), the 1880 Acadia Ranch Museum (shown in the Commons photo below), Oracle State Park, and Biosphere 2 just south of town. The Mt. Lemmon Highway continues through Oracle to the backside of Mount Lemmon.
