Fairborn is a city in Greene County (population 34,620 at the 2020 census), sitting about 12 miles northeast of downtown Dayton and directly adjacent to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Founded in 1950 through the merger of the villages of Fairfield and Osborn (the latter relocated when the base expanded), it has long been a military-community with a walkable historic downtown on Main Street.
