About Boulder City
Boulder City is an incorporated city in Clark County, about 20 miles southeast of Las Vegas, built to house the workers who constructed Hoover Dam in the 1930s. It is one of only two cities in Nevada that prohibit gambling, giving it a notably different character from the rest of the valley. Its small-town downtown mixes historic 1930s architecture with museums, parks, and lake access.
