About Austin
Austin is a fast-growing city in northern Lonoke County (population 3,460 at the 2020 census, per Wikipedia — up from 605 in 2000). First settled around 1872 when the St. Louis, Iron Mountain and Southern Railway laid tracks a mile southeast of "Old Austin," it was originally known as Austin Station and incorporated in 1895 (per Wikipedia).
