Hillsboro Beach is a narrow barrier-island town in northeastern Broward County, incorporated June 12, 1939 and named for the Earl of Hillsborough. With a 2020 census population of 1,987, it is nicknamed "' Mile" and "Florida's Magnificent Mile" for its 3.2-mile stretch of A1A lined with mansions, oceanfront condos and estates.
