About Caldwell
Caldwell is a small borough of roughly 9,000 in western Essex County, best known as the birthplace of Grover Cleveland — the only U.S. president to serve two non-consecutive terms — whose birthplace is preserved as a historic site in town. Bloomfield Avenue is the main street, lined with restaurants, cafés, and local shops. The borough has a classic small-town feel with pre-war homes and is home to Caldwell University, a private Catholic university.
