About Northvale

Northvale is a small Bergen County borough of about 5,000 residents at the New York state line, named for its position in the northern valley of the Northern Branch corridor. It is a quiet, residential community of mid-century homes with a small-town feel, anchored by the Paris Avenue/Livingston Street commercial area and Veterans Memorial Park. The long-dormant Northern Branch rail corridor runs through town — the subject of a long-discussed light-rail extension that has never been built.
