About Rutherford

Rutherford — the 'Borough of Trees' — is a classic streetcar suburb whose housing boom in the 1920s gives it much of its current stock: colonials, Tudors, and Victorians on leafy streets around a walkable Park Avenue downtown. Its station is the last Bergen County Line stop before Secaucus, making it one of the fastest rail commutes in the county. Landmarks include Iviswold Castle, the Nereid Boat Club, and the Meadowlands Museum in the Yereance-Berry House.
