Algodones ("cotton plants" in Spanish) is a tiny Sandoval County CDP (population ~800) in the Rio Grande valley between Bernalillo and Santa Fe, strung along NM-313 (El Camino Real) and I-25. A historic farming hamlet of old adobes and newer manufactured homes, it offers rock-bottom valley prices with a 30-minute reach to Albuquerque. There are essentially no commercial services in town.
