About Belen

Belen ("Bethlehem" in Spanish) is a historic rail town in the Rio Grande Valley of Valencia County, about 30 miles south of Albuquerque, and the southern terminus of the Rail Runner Express. Founded around its Harvey House railroad hotel, it keeps a small-town agricultural character with a revitalized Main Street (Becker Avenue). Housing is affordable older adobes and ranch homes plus newer subdivisions on the east mesa.
