About Bostwick
Bostwick is a city in Morgan County with 378 residents in the 2020 census, on Georgia Route 83 ten miles north of Madison. It is the town of John Bostwick Sr. (1859–1929): he started a small mercantile business in 1892 after graduating with honors from the University of Georgia, then built the Bostwick Supply Company, a cotton oil mill and gin, a brickyard, and helped establish a Central of Georgia rail spur connecting Apalachee, Monroe, and Athens.
