About Experiment
Experiment is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) immediately north of Griffin, with 3,328 residents in the 2020 census. It is named for the University of Georgia Agricultural Experiment Station located there — established in 1888 as one of the first state agricultural experiment stations in the country on what was then the Bates Farm; today the UGA Griffin Campus covers 1,300+ acres of research plots and labs.
