About Jersey
Jersey is a town in Walton County with 146 residents in the 2020 census, incorporated in 1905. It had its own school until the early 1960s — a place where virtually all the teachers were local residents who knew each child's family, sometimes teaching multiple generations of the same family; when it closed in 1962 amid consolidation, students transferred mostly to Social Circle schools.
