About Sharpsburg
Sharpsburg is a tiny town in eastern Coweta County, with 327 residents in the 2020 census. Incorporated on December 13, 1871, and named for Judge Elias Sharp, one of the original town commissioners, it was founded around cotton production and grew after the Savannah, Griffin & North Alabama Railroad arrived in 1870.
