About Bolingbrook
A village of about 73,922 (2020 census) in Will County with a DuPage County portion, Bolingbrook — "The Brook," motto "A place to grow" — is Illinois' 17th-largest incorporated place and its second-largest village. Incorporated October 6, 1965, it's a purpose-built new town risen from the Gateway Wetlands west of the Des Plaines River, on I-55 and Historic Route 66, exploding in the 1980s–90s into a suburb bordering Woodridge, Romeoville, Plainfield and Naperville.
