Genoa City is a village of about 2,900 residents (2,982 in the 2020 census; estimated 2,903 in 2024) straddling the Kenosha-Walworth county line on the Illinois-Wisconsin border, about 43 miles south-southwest of Milwaukee. Its downtown sits along US-12 (Main Street), and the village is roughly one mile north of the Illinois state line and nine miles south of Lake Geneva.
