About Hanover Park
A village of about 37,470 (2020 census) spanning Cook and DuPage counties, roughly 30 miles northwest of downtown Chicago in the "Golden Corridor" along I-90. Incorporated in 1958 with just 305 residents entirely in Cook County, Hanover Park annexed 750 acres of DuPage farmland in 1969, which drove explosive growth — 12,000 by 1970, nearly 29,000 by 1980.
