Monroe Township is a township of about 6,200 people (6,226 at the 2020 census) in southeastern Cumberland County, between Mechanicsburg and the Yellow Breeches Creek. It is best known as the home of Williams Grove Speedway — the legendary half-mile dirt track that has hosted sprint car racing since 1939 and draws fans from across the country.
