About Mount Holly Springs
Mount Holly Springs is a borough of about 2,000 people (1,997 at the 2020 census) set at the base of South Mountain in the southern Cumberland Valley. Once a popular 19th-century summer resort town built around mountain springs, it keeps a village feel with a compact downtown along Baltimore Avenue. Its crown jewel is the Amelia S. Givin Free Library — a Richardsonian Romanesque landmark dedicated January 2, 1890, built with electric lights and hot-water heating when those were novelties.
