New Cumberland is a borough of about 7,500 people (7,517 at the 2020 census) in the easternmost part of Cumberland County, on the West Shore of the Susquehanna just south of Lemoyne. Incorporated March 21, 1831, it has one of the West Shore's most intact historic downtowns — Bridge Street is lined with landmarks including the restored West Shore Theatre — plus Borough Park and a beloved yearly Apple Festival that draws hundreds of vendors and thousands of visitors.
