About Penn Township
Penn Township is a rural township of about 2,900 people (2,877 at the 2020 census) in the western Cumberland Valley, just west of Newville. Its claim to fame is the Cumberland Drive-In — one of Pennsylvania's surviving drive-in theaters, operating on the Ritner Highway — set amid farmland at the foot of Blue Mountain.
