Lenoir City is a city of about 10,117 (2020 Census) in Loudon County, on I-75 at the eastern end of Fort Loudoun Lake. Named for Revolutionary War figure William Lenoir, it grew around the Lenoir Car Works and the 19th-century cotton mill whose ruins remain a local landmark.
