About Maryville
Maryville is a city of about 31,907 (2020 Census) and the county seat of Blount County, the "twin city" of Alcoa. Founded in 1795 and named for Mary Grainger Blount, it is home to Maryville College (1819) and anchors the southern side of the Knoxville metro as the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains.
