About Chaska
Chaska (~27,800 in 2020) is the Carver County seat, an outer-ring suburb 21 miles southwest of Minneapolis (per Wikipedia, read September 24, 2026). A former brickmaking center (the distinctive yellow Chaska brick faces Guardian Angels Catholic Church and much of old downtown), it kept its small-town character through the 1966 Jonathan "new town" planned development and the US-212 freeway boom.
