About Delano
Delano (DEH-lə-noh) is a fast-growing city on the western outskirts of the Twin Cities metro in Wright County, Minnesota, motto "The Spirit of Community." Population 6,484 at the 2020 census. Platted in 1868 and named for railroad official Francis Roach Delano, it sits along the South Fork of the Crow River with a historic downtown core (three National Register buildings: the 1880s Eagle Newspaper Office, 1888 Delano Village Hall, and 1893 Simon Weldele House).
