About Eagan

Eagan is Dakota County's second-largest city (~68,900 in 2020; Minnesota's 13th-largest), sitting just south of St. Paul on the south bank of the Minnesota River (per Wikipedia, read September 24, 2026). A former Irish farming community once billed the "Onion Capital of the United States," it boomed after the Highway 77 river bridge (1980) and the final I-35E link (mid-1980s), incorporating in 1972.
