Moving to Sunset, UT
About Sunset
Sunset is a small Davis County city of about 5,500 residents (2020 Census). It emerged as a distinct place in 1916 when local women, impressed by the colorful sunset over the Great Salt Lake, named their community "Sunset" — splitting from Clinton along the Union Pacific tracks. Incorporated in 1935, it stayed around 600 residents until the 1960s–70s boom tied to Hill Air Force Base, and at 1.9 by 0.6 miles it is now almost fully developed.
