About Woods Cross
Woods Cross is a Davis County city of about 11,400 residents (2020 Census), chartered in 1935. Settled in 1848 just a year after Bountiful, it was named for Daniel Wood, an early settler who built the school (1854) and church (1863) and donated land for the "Woods Crossing" railroad station in 1869. It retains a small-town feel while being crossed north-south by railroad tracks, I-15, and Legacy Parkway.
