About Los Cerrillos
Los Cerrillos is a historic former mining town of about 240 people on the Turquoise Trail Scenic Byway (NM-14), roughly 20 miles south of Santa Fe and 35 miles north of Albuquerque. Founded in the 1870s on lead, silver and turquoise strikes, its adobe main street is now a quiet artists' enclave of studios, antiques shops and galleries.
