About Meridian
Meridian is Idaho's second-largest city — about 148,000 residents (World Population Review 2026 estimate; ~145,000–147,000 per 2025 projections from a local brokerage guide) — and one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States, up from ~9,500 in 1990. Its name comes from the Boise Meridian, one of the principal survey meridians of the U.S. Public Land Survey. Meridian is the Treasure Valley's family-entertainment hub: The Village at Meridian (outdoor lifestyle shopping, dining, and entertainment around a fountain courtyard), Roaring Springs Water Park (the largest water park in the Northwest), Wahooz Family Fun Zone, Topgolf, and Meridian Speedway. Master-planned communities and a central position between Boise and Nampa define its suburban appeal. Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park and Settlers Park anchor its park system, and downtown Meridian's historic core has quaint shops plus Idaho's first In-N-Out Burger.
