About Harmony
Harmony (population 543–545 at the 2020 census; roughly 613 by 2024 estimates) is a northern Iredell County town at the crossroads of US-21 and NC-901, about 45 miles north of Uptown Charlotte. Incorporated in 1927, the town was named for the Harmony Hill Camp Meetings — two-week Methodist and Baptist revivals held on what is now the Harmony Elementary School grounds. The first meeting took place in 1846, and the gatherings continue on the second weekend of October each year (Town of Harmony 2017 Land Use Plan; Wikipedia, read September 24, 2026).
