About Fowler
Fowler (~7,000 residents) is a small city on SR 99 about 15 miles south of Fresno, known as "The Blossom Trail City" after the Fresno County Blossom Trail established in 1988. Named for rancher and State Senator Thomas Fowler, who sited a Central Pacific switching station here in the late 1800s, the city grew as a fruit-shipping center and still hosts major raisin and nut packaging plants. It incorporated in 1908 and offers small-town living with direct freeway access to Fresno.
