About Beauregard
Beauregard is a tiny incorporated town in Copiah County, about a mile north of Wesson, with roughly 200 residents. Originally named Bahala, it was founded in 1858 when the New Orleans, Jackson & Great Northern Railroad came through (station established 139 miles north of New Orleans) and renamed for Confederate General P.G.T.
