About Garden City

Garden City is a village in Nassau County and the anchor of the Greater Garden City area, with 23,272 residents at the 2020 census. Primarily in the Town of Hempstead (a small northern tip is in North Hempstead), it is a planned community founded in the 19th century, known for its village downtown along Seventh Street and Franklin Avenue, the landmark Garden City Hotel, and the Cradle of Aviation Museum.
