About Putnam Valley
Putnam Valley is a lake-country town on Putnam County's southern border, a former 1830s town (first named Quincy) built around Lake Oscawana, Lake Peekskill, and a string of small hamlets — Oscawana Corners, Adams Corners, Christian Corners, Gilbert Corners, Tompkins Corners, and Sunnybrook. Much of its northern half is Clarence Fahnestock State Park.
