About Roslyn Estates
Roslyn Estates is an incorporated village in the Town of North Hempstead, created as a planned community by master developer Dean Alvord around 1908 and incorporated in 1931 (per bryantlibrary.org and ecode360). Two of Alvord's other communities — Prospect Park South, Brooklyn and Harbor Oaks, Clearwater, Florida — are on the National Register of Historic Places.
