About Thomaston
Thomaston is an incorporated village in the Town of North Hempstead at the southeastern corner of the Great Neck Peninsula, part of the Greater Great Neck area. Residents voted to incorporate on October 1, 1931 to preserve home rule; the original proposal also covered University Gardens (which opted out) and Russell Gardens (which incorporated separately).
