About Westbury
Westbury is an incorporated village in the Town of Hempstead in central Nassau County (population 15,864 at the 2020 census; ~15,981 estimated July 2025), incorporated in 1932. Its roots run to the late 1600s, when Quaker settlers — including Henry Willis, who named it for Westbury, England — cleared the Woodedge/Plainedge frontier north of the old Indian trail that became Jericho Turnpike.
