About Williston Park
Williston Park is an incorporated village in the Town of North Hempstead in central Nassau County (population 7,591 at the 2020 census; ~7,524 estimated July 2025), celebrating its centennial in 2026. Founded in 1926 by developer William Chatlos as an affordable planned community for New York City commuters, residents broke with East Williston neighbors and incorporated that same year; the village is named for Samuel Willis, a settler who arrived in the late 17th century.
