About Lodi
Lodi (pronounced LOH-dye) is a city of about 66,000 (2020 census) in the northern Central Valley, roughly 13 miles north of Stockton. Settled in the 1850s–60s around a Central Pacific Railroad station (first called Mokelumne, renamed Lodi in the 1870s), it is best known today as the center of the Lodi AVA wine region — a respected viticultural area famed for old-vine zinfandel — with a classic downtown around School Street and the Lodi Arch.
