About Northglenn
Northglenn (population 38,991 in 2020) is a north-metro suburb in Adams and Weld counties, about 10 miles north of downtown Denver. Founded in 1959 as a master-planned community by developer Jordon Perlmutter — named for Glenn Mabey, son of an early landowner — it incorporated in 1969. The city centers on E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park with Webster Lake, hosts the Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation's summer concert series, and is known for the striking 1964 St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, a neo-Expressionist landmark on the National Register.
