About Hawaiʻi Kai
Hawaiʻi Kai — officially the Hawaiʻi Kai census-designated place (2020 population 28,352) at Oʻahu's southeast corner — is a marina-centered residential district built by Henry J. Kaiser on the former Kuapā fishpond. Its canals and the Koko Marina give it a waterfront, boating-centric feel, with single-family neighborhoods climbing the slopes toward Koko Crater subdivisions like Portlock and Kalama Valley. Hanauma Bay sits just to the east. Housing skews upper-middle to luxury.
