About Goodman
Goodman is a small town in Holmes County (~1,400 residents) on the I-55 corridor between Jackson and Winona, and it's best known for one big reason: it's home to the main campus of Holmes Community College. The town provided the college's founding land in 1911 — 40 acres plus free water from the town's artesian well — when it began as Holmes County Agricultural High School; college work was added in the 1920s and it became Holmes Community College in 1989 (the Bulldogs).
