About Pickens
Pickens is a small town in Holmes County (~1,000 residents) on the I-55 corridor between Goodman and Durant. Named for Andrew Pickens, the Revolutionary War hero, it's a historic cotton-country town and the home base of the Clarks — Robert Clark was the first Black legislator elected in Mississippi since Reconstruction, and his son Bryant Clark holds the seat today.
