Elmwood is a village of about 650 people (2020 Census: 654) in Cass County, Nebraska. Founded with the railroad, Elmwood is best known as the hometown of author Bess Streeter Aldrich ("A Lantern in Her Hand"), whose house is preserved as a museum.
