About Modale
Modale is a small city of about 270 people (2020 Census: 273) in western Harrison County, near the Missouri River floodplain. Originally laid out in 1872 as "Martinsdale" for founder Benjamin Martin, it took its present name — for its setting in a dale — when the railroad depot was built.
