About Mondamin
Mondamin is a small city of about 340 people (2020 Census: 339) in western Harrison County along I-29. Platted in the winter of 1867–68 when the railroad reached the point, it was named for Mondamin, a Native American corn deity — fitting for a town founded as a marketplace for corn and farm trade.
