About East Windsor
East Windsor is a town of about 11,190 people in Hartford County, spread across five villages — Broad Brook, Melrose, Scantic, Warehouse Point, and Windsorville — along the east bank of the Connecticut River. It retains a tobacco-farming heritage (Mulnite Farms, established 1905; shade-grown tobacco fields shown in the Commons photo below) and a mill-town past, and it is where the first dinosaur bones in North America were found in 1818 (an Anchisaurus, now at Yale).
