About Bella Vista
Bella Vista is a city in northern Benton County on the Missouri state line — Northwest Arkansas's sixth-largest city, with 30,104 residents at the 2020 census (estimated 34,518 in 2025). Begun in 1917 as a summer resort destination and redeveloped from 1965 as a Cooper Communities it voted to incorporate as a city in 2006 (effective January 1, 2007). Built around seven private lakes, golf courses, and Ozark forest on the Springfield Plateau, it has grown as a bedroom community for Bentonville and Rogers while retaining a resort/retiree character, with the Bella Vista Property Owners Association (POA) still running the lakes, golf, and trails (per Wikipedia, read September 24, 2026).
